Confetti Bowls are made in three steps First step: tiny pieces of crushed glass, called “frit” are spread across a kiln shelf and fired until each piece turns into a tiny ball, called a “frit ball.” Second step: a circle of white glass plus a piece of clear glass are stacked together and some of the frit balls are glued to the top of the circles, then the circles with frit balls is fired in the kiln and becomes one polka dot covered disk. Third step: the polka dot disk is put on a bowl-shaped mold in the kiln, where it melts into the shape of the bowl mold and becomes a Confetti Bowl.
